About the Foundation

The INCE Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt publicly-supported charitable organization. It is incorporated in the State of New York, is organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is classified as a publicly supported charity. The Foundation supports a series of student and professional awards and a scholarship to outstanding individuals studying or working in the field of noise control engineering. Donations support these programs and allow the addition of new awards and scholarships.

The objectives of the Foundation are to:

  • Advance scientific and educational activities directed toward the theory and practice of noise control engineering,
  • Aid in the development of this field and related arts and sciences,
  • Promote scientific and educational activities through grants, funding, and financial assistance to various individuals, institutions, and organizations.

The Foundation has no paid staff or consultants. The Foundation’s governing body consists of outstanding scientists and engineers who have made major contributions to the field of noise control engineering.  All serve without compensation.
